With just one month to go before Samsung unveils its new flagship phone at a press conference during the annual mobile world congress show revealed new galaxy series .

For the most part, the rumors and reports we’ve been seeing for months have been reaffirmed time and time again by now. There are a few things that have been disproven here and there, though, and now a new leak on Tuesday brings confirmation that one of the early Galaxy S9 rumors that had been floating around is all wrong.

With a similar approach to design and coarse features (for example the Galaxy S9 battery is expected to match that of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S7), the South Korean company will be looking for areas where it can demonstrate a clear advantage over the competition. Not only is imaging one area where it can gain that advantage, but the Galaxy S handsets have also traditionally been strong in imaging.


With the potential inclusion of a dual-lens camera on the Galaxy S9 Plus, the larger handset should have a key advantage over previous generations of Galaxy handsets. Now it looks like the South Korean research labs will be outfitting both S9 handsets with some exciting new technology to improve the speed and responsiveness of the flagship smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and come with 4GB of RAM. The phone is rumored to pack 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is rumored to pack a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 tipped to be a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that will accept Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options are said to include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone are rumored to include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.
